My Definition of Comely

Comments

Tuesday, November 29, 2005

Good Lord!

dem

You are Form 8, Demon: The Destroyer.

"And The Demon took advantage of the chaos and seized civillization. With grace and style, Demon slit The Goddess's belly and drowned the world in her blood. The Goddess, The Demon, and the world were no more."

Some examples of the Demon Form are Seth (Egyptian) and The Horsemen of the Apocalypse (Christian). The Demon is associated with the concept of destruction, the number 8, and the element of earth. His sign is the full moon.

As a member of Form 8, you are a very strong willed individual. You don't let others' opinions sway your own and you're usually not afraid to speak your mind. However, some may see you as a bit overly passionate but it's just because you never back down from your values. No matter what, you always do everything with style. Demons are the best friends to have because they will back you up.

Which Mythological Form Are You?

"Don't you see yourself in every picture you love? You feel a radiance wash through you. It's something you can't analyze or speak about clearly. What are you doing at that moment? You're looking at a picture on a wall. That's all. But it makes you feel alive in the world. It tells you yes, you're here. And yes, you have a range of being that's deeper and sweeter than you knew."

Pawn

Because I
keep waiting
for something to
happen; for someone
to come. Something
different; someone
harmless.
My days owe their
survival to
expectancy.
Perhaps
tomorrow
will be
the day.
But, the
odds for this
to happen are
minus ten in a million.

As Everything / As Everyone

I see it differently; but I know you will never allow someone—who does not write by your inherited standards—to give her craft the same name that you give yours. As if you could convince a donkey it is not a cockroach...

It is not as though I liked to be with people; it simply does not bother me to be with some of them. I wish I were clearer regarding this aspect of my indifference. I am, however, so immersed in my own little subplot that I tend to forget not everyone is reading the same story.

"May you live in interesting times..."

So they say. May I say,
these times go beyond.
Tsunamis, hurricanes,
fire-raising beliefs.

I could do it better.

Would I not?
No.
I would not.

But
then again,
I have not

read
enough to
know.

What do I know?

Then
again, what
do I know?

Nothing.

Way
too arrogant
to know anything.

Milton
knew it.
Yes, he did.

I wish November lasted forever

Or...

I wish December never came.

Because...

As I feel December 31st. getting closer & closer

I suffer...

I do not like New Years

Because...

New Years tend to make me feel like Sysiphus

Or...

So much for the Eternal Recurrence

La Dernière Minute

Comments

Monday, November 07, 2005

It must have been one of the happiest days of her life, I presume. After losing four, she could finally hold & behold one. A newly born toy. The twin died but one remained. The one who remained sucked life away from the one who did not.

& my bad luck started; I remained.

She never allowed anyone to come near me lest they would infect me. & no one ever came near me.

& no one ever will.

She could have fashioned me; or not. She could have broken me; or not. She could have overprotected me; & she did. She did it quite effectively.

& the result is a useless piece of human being.

I now believe I must have been born on a tragic day; it must have been dark, for certain. The worst day; impossible to tell the one who has given me everything & more that the lack of anything is the least of my problems.

Two weeks ago my brother was diagnosed with angiohemophilia. He appears unswayed by this. Perhaps he is not fully aware of this condition; maybe he does not care. I care though. It might not be as acute as leukemia but...it unsettles me. & I can only hope this disease is not as terrible as it sounds. But I know I am selfish. It bothers me because I would not like to go through what I went through with my father; can you blame me? I do not want to witness another death.

"¿Acaso de veras se vive con raíz en la tierra?
Nada es para siempre en la tierra:
Sólo un poco aquí.
Aunque sea de jade se quiebra,
Aunque sea de oro se rompe,
Aunque sea plumaje de quetzal se desgarra.
No para siempre en la tierra:
Sólo un poco aquí."
