"The fate of the man-child;
.....The meaning of man;
Known fruit of the unknown;
.....Dædalian plan;
Out of sleeping a waking;
.....Out of a waking a sleep;
Life death overtaking;
.....Deep underneath deep?"

~Ralph Waldo Emerson, from "The Sphinx"

Swallow Forever

Although I cannot remember the circumstances, I do remember my father foresaw the unhappy state under which I would always find myself. He used to ask me why I had to be such a nonconformist. Hardly anything made me happy. Not much has changed since then. Not many things make me happy today.

Day and night—mostly at night—envy towards other people invades me. Why can't I be pleased with what most people seem to be pleased? Why can't I be normal? Normality would spare me being drowned by tears.

I would like to think I am a rare, valuable human specimen but I know I am not. I wish my disgruntlement had an intellectual source in its entirety. Both philosophy and literature have played a part but perhaps my inadequacy is actually derived from one out of the many dysfunctional families.

It appears as if the inadequate and disgusting being that my parents created were stronger than the being who has been trying to come out if only through words. For all my problems I certainly elaborate thousands of interpretations but it is all make believe.

I keep trying to learn how to live. Ignorantly. Sometimes all I have is the hope that once I learn to live everything will fall in its place. But I know this will never happen.

The story as my father used to tell it to me:

The swallow observed all the other birds had beautiful, resistant nests. In her attempt to build one, she asked for help from birds who came in her way. The hummingbird, the emu, the baker, and the satin bower tried to help her. They told her what she needed and how it had to be done. However, when instructions where given to her she kept saying, "Oh, I already know that!" Birds left her alone to build her own nest. She already knew how, after all. And she built her own nest. It was not until winter came that she realized she had never truly learned to build a complete, strong nest.

Linguistic Impressionists

As a student of the beguiling art of rhetoric, it is quite maddening to encounter with people who say one thing & attempt to excuse themselves later by saying that what they meant is not what I understood. So, am I psychotic then? Are you trying to say I have been listening all this time to shapeless, soundless voices? If it is so it is only because I have a shapeless, soundless voice myself. Perhaps communication is only possible between equals.

"A Common-wealth by Acquisition, is that, where the Soveraign Power is acquired by Force; And it is acquired by force, when men singly, or many together by plurality of voyces, for fear of death, or bonds, do authorise all the actions of that Man or Assembly, that hath their lives and liberty in his Power.
.....And this kind of Dominion, or Soveraignity, differeth from Soveraignity by Institution, onely in this, That men who choose their Soveraign, do it for fear of one another, and not of him whom they Institute: But in this case, they subject themselves, to him they are afraid of. In both cases they do it for fear: which is to be noted by them, that hold all such Covenants, as proceed from fear of death, or violence, voyd: which if it were true, no man, in any kind of Common-wealth, could be obliged to Obedience."

"Even voting for the right is doing nothing for it. It is only expressing to men feebly your desire that it should prevail. A wise man will not leave the right to the mercy of chance, nor wish it to prevail through the power of majority. There is but little virtue in the action of masses of men."

~Henry David Thoreau, from Civil Disobedience

Like I said, I am the monkey who wanted to become a satirical writer. I cannot write about the magpie, the snake, the bee, the cicada, or the hen; they have all been nice to me. Next thing I will do is write about mysticism & love & none of them will speak to me anyway.

Six months ago I signed a DNR/DNI. I do not like hospitals. I do not like doctors. I will not grant them the satisfaction of bringing me back to life. I will not grant them the satisfaction of having helped me. I will not satisfy their egos. If I am sick, if I inherited my father's illness, I do not want to know.

In the past I have lost prizes, contracts, high grades, & whatnot due to my «overwhelming hubris»—as «they» have defined it. & I wonder if «they»—the ones who have believed in their right to teach me a humility lesson—realize that believing one is entitled to teach another person a humility lesson is already a clear indication of an «overwhelming hubris».

Divide & conquer.
«They» have conquered us.

Although this is not a soccer game
—as many of you seem to believe—
we have all lost,
we are all losing,
we will all continue to lose.

Is it a lost cause?
Most likely everything is.

Or better yet,
I must speak
not at all.

Yellow; blue; yellow; blue.
Both parties yearn for «justice».
«Justice» for whom?
«Justice» for what?

I do not believe in justice.
I do not believe in justice for the same reason
I do not believe there is only good & evil.

Ahora resulta que todas las opiniones son válidas.

Propaganda, you mean. I ask you again, News? I believe you mean, propagandistic harangue against the «mad man» who has dared to turn your routinary indifference upside down.

It is not easy to complain. It is generally easier to keep it all inside. It is easier to present myself as though my life were perfect. &, apparently, I have succeeded. I have covered up appearances well enough for you to wish my circumstances. But, it is not easy to complain. I have been given everything. Yes. What you do not know is that I have been given everything I could wish for at one expense: my will to live. As you can see, it is not quite a fair deal.

I believe it.
But I am naïve.
I believe in Revolutions.

Wasted time is only collateral damage.

Certain countries have no
Revolutionary Memory.
This is one of them.
