"It's a dream, of course. And if one can only give while dreaming, one can only dream of giving. Even so one must have the unchangeable and unexchangeable grace of certain dreams. Even so one must know how to dream. Enough to foil, in dream, the avaricious circle of absolute knowledge."

Non-Drivers of the World Unite

Dado que la discusión no es sobre la utilidad sino sobre el derecho a respirar aire puro, espero el momento en que vengan a decirme que no puedo utilizar mi automóvil frente a ellos.

In a week or so I will take the academic version of a certain English proficiency test. Everything would be all right if not for the fact that English is tested based on my ability to interpret graphs and convey the main information these provide. Am I supposed to know how to interpret graphs? Ridiculous. As absurd as asking an engineer to interpret a poem and describe the main rhetorical figures.

"We're all young and smart and were raised by wolves. But the phenomenon of reputation is a delicate thing. A person rises on a word and falls on a syllable."

People move so ineffectively. They say their hellos in the middle of a hallway. Completely unaware one is standing right behind them. To keep their distance they do not know. In the line, in the bus, in the subway, when they walk, when they drive. It makes me sick to think of their closeness. As they say, donkey's flesh is not transparent.

"I know I'll say something that's halfway clever but mostly shallow and probably inaccurate on some level. Then you'll pity me for having been born."
